ONLINE RESOURCES FOR LOST AND FOUND BIRDS

911ParrotAlert

lost and found ads

911ParrotAlert maintains an international database of found, lost and stolen birds. The service is free and run by dedicated volunteers.

You can also join the email list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/911ParrotAlert. All messages go out to a large group. Lots of messages. Found bird ads are checked against those for missing birds.

In the case of stolen birds, please be careful not to give out information that would jeopardize an investigation by law enforcement.

AFA Classified Ads

Classified ads are free for members of the American Federation of Aviculture. Ads are posted on the website for public viewing. The page is frequently updated and old ads are removed.

craigslist.org

Advertise and view lost and found ads in your area of the country.

findtoto.com

Find Toto offers a paid service which calls your neighbors to report your pet missing. You choose the number of calls the service will make and pay accordingly. The website states that they call only residences, no businesses. Birdtheft.org has no experience with findtoto.com, but are offering this link because we know of no other similar service. This method of searching would not likely be appropriate for stolen birds.
